Competition Begins Sunday
Competition starts this Sunday, the 21st of March. Click here to download the schedule. Each team is responsible for either scoring or refereeing the other games, please ensure that you meet these commitments on the day.
Social Games Are Back!
Social Games are now running at Carlton Baths from 12-2pm. Social games are a great opportunity for new players to try out handball, so come on down if you are interested. Anyone wanting to enter a team into the 2010 season should contact us as soon as possible.
Seeking Coaches For After-School Communities
The HFV is after coaches to run active after-school communities for primary school kids around the state. Training is provided for coaches and coaches are paid generously. Click here for more information on coaching and here for a training schedule.

Wheelchair Handball Demonstration, Saturday December 19
For promotion, there will be wheelchair handball being played at Federation Square from 11-4 on the 19th of December. Volunteers are wanted to help out and promote this great sport for people with disabilities. If you are available during this time and would like to help out, please click here for more information.
Victorian Handball Team To Participate in Oceania Championships Cup in Tahiti Contributions Welcome!
A team of Victoria's best players will be travelling to Tahiti in December to represent Australia at the Oceania Championships Cup, the most important club competition in Oceania. The Victorian team is currently training around Melbourne in preparation for Tahiti and would greatly appreciate any financial or equipment contributions. HFV Annual General Meeting, 15 Nov
The Annual General Meeting for the Handball Federation of Victoria will be held on Monday the 15th of November. It will be held at 177 Bridge Rd, Richmond and will run from 7:30-9:30pm. All Registered members can attend. For the agenda and more info click here.
Social Games On Sundays
NEW PLAYERS WELCOME
In the next few weeks, on Sundays, social games will be held at Carlton Baths from 12-2:30. There will be a men's game at 12 and a mixed or women's game at 1:15. New players are welcome so if you want to try out a great sport, come along on Sunday and play! If everyone could bring $5 to cover the host of the stadium that would be much appreciated.
Registration Day August 16th
ALL PLAYERS MUST ATTEND
All players are required to come to Carlton Baths on Sunday the 16th of August for Registration. We need to ensure that all players are registered and have ID photographs so we can create IDs. Please put this date in your diaries and be sure to be there. Registration to the HFV costs $50 and covers insurance etc. Scratch matches will be held after registration is complete. Even if you have already registered it is important that you attend for ID photographs.

Handball Presentation Night Postponed
Due to difficulty with venue hire, the Presentation night has been postponed. More details of the presentation night are still to come. Sorry for any inconvienence.
Season Decider - This Sunday July 5
As you may all well know, the final round of competition is on this Sunday. The game between Monash and Carlton O will determine the winner of this seasons competition. Be sure to come down to Carlton Baths at 2:30 to watch the game!
Handball Presentation Night - July 10
A presentation night is being held on July 10th to celebrate the end of the competition. Finger food will be provided. The winner of this seasons competition will be acknowledged on the night as well as the presentation of other awards. Please place this in your diaries and we hope to see you there.

Competition Has Begun
Round 2 of competition has just finished. So far it
has all ran successfully with a new approach to
managing the competition. Competition managers have
been appointed with the task of ensuring that
competition runs smoothly and so far it has done
just that. As time commences and everyone becomes
more adjusted to the new system we only expect
things to improve and are looking forward to an
excellent season of competition. The competition
ladder is now viewable on the site and other data
for each match will be available on our
results page.Season Registration 2009
The competition for Handball Victoria is starting up
on the 15th of march. We are currently receiving
interest from teams wishing to enter this
competition. The closing date to enter this seasons
competition is Friday the 13th of March. There will
be a mixed, women's and men's competition this
season and anyone is welcome to register.
Pre-Season 2008
Currently Handball Victoria is in pre-season. This means that we are running a mixed social competition every Sunday Carlton Baths between 12.30 and 14.30. This is the ideal time for beginners to learn and enjoy the game.
At the end of February the competitions page will outline the schedule of matches again.
Beach Handball
Some players are getting together for Beach Handball on most Saturdays of this month at St Kilda beach from 5 to 7pm. Contact us for more details or just rock up.
